Iran’s foreign minister says he will skip the Davos summit, saying it is not appropriate following the deadly protests
The World Economic Forum announced on X that Iran’s foreign minister will not take part in the Davos meeting.

Iran’s foreign minister will not attend the Davos summit in Switzerland this week, organizers said on Monday, emphasizing that it would not be “appropriate” following the recent deadly crackdown on protesters in Iran.
“The Iranian Foreign Minister will not be attending Davos,” the World Economic Forum said on X, adding that “while he was invited last fall, the tragic deaths of civilians in Iran over the past few weeks mean that it is not appropriate for the Iranian government to be represented at Davos this year.”
