Trump Halts Second Wave of Venezuela Strikes After Cooperation
U.S. President Donald Trump said he called off a planned second round of strikes on Venezuela after the country agreed to cooperate.

Following last week’s dramatic U.S. military action that resulted in the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro, the president said on Friday that Venezuela was releasing a large number of political prisoners as a sign of “peacemaking.”
“This is a very important and smart initiative. The United States and Venezuela are working very well together, especially when it comes to rebuilding their oil and gas infrastructure into something bigger, better, and more modern,” Trump said on Truth Social.
During the Fox interview, Trump also said he would meet with oil executives at the White House on Friday and that oil companies would spend at least $100 billion in Venezuela, a statement he reiterated in his Truth Social post.
