The new Tata Sierra has finally been launched today. Priced at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom, initial), it blends old memories with contemporary tech, comfort, and segment-focused capability. It features a bold design inspired by the original SUV, multiple colour options, modern features, and a new petrol engine.

The Tata Sierra returns to the Indian market today, priced at ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s one of the most anticipated SUV launches of the year.

The Sierra nameplate holds fond memories, but the new model aims to avoid relying solely on heritage.

Built on Tata’s modern architecture and tailored to the expectations of today’s buyers, the Sierra is poised to challenge popular mid-size SUVs with a blend of tech, design, and practicality.

This model will blend retro looks with current trends, presenting a familiar name in a completely updated avatar.

Features:

Inside, the Sierra will feature a layered dashboard, a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen interface, ventilated seats, and connected-car functions.

ADAS features will also be offered, giving the Sierra a competitive position in this segment.

Design:

The new Sierra remains heavily inspired by its concept styling, with clean shoulder lines, upright proportions, and a glasshouse designed like the original. Thick wheel arches, squared-off bodywork, and a bold fascia lend a rugged look.

The rear quarter glass treatment remains a signature visual touch, blending heritage with modern surfacing.

Colour Options:

Tata will offer the Sierra in a range of dual-tone and monotone shades, including earthy hues and bright lifestyle colours like recent Tata SUVs, aimed at enhancing the SUV’s outdoor character.

Powertrain:

The Sierra is available with a variety of engine options. It features a new 1.5-liter Hyperion T-GDi turbo-petrol engine paired with a torque-converter automatic.

A new 1.5-liter Revotron naturally aspirated petrol unit is also available, with manual and DCA gearbox options. For diesel buyers, the 1.5-liter Cryojet engine can be had with either a manual or torque-converter automatic transmission.
